My Bio
EARLY MUSINGS
I first felt the joy of being an accomplished author when my 5th grade poem about a purple hippo (complete with full-color illustration) was featured on the class bulletin board. I’ve been chasing that thrill ever since. Furthering my writing endeavors I attended the University of North Texas, receiving a B.A. in Journalism.

WRITE, WRITE, WRITE--THAT’S ALL I DO
I live with my husband and son in a Dallas suburb, spending my days editing advertising for a major retailer and nights spinning humorous, romantic tales.

TINY VICTORIES
I was named one of the top ten finalists in Family Circle’s “Murder, She Wrote” short story contest judged by Mary Higgins Clark . For Richer or Repo was one of top three finalists in RWA’s Chicago-North Chapter Fire and Ice contest.  I continually hone my craft as co-founder of a critique group at work called the Legacy Writer’s  Club and as a member of the Romance Writers of America and the Dallas Area Romance Authors. Putting my advertising headline writing experience to work in the fiction field, I have titled two novels: Flirting with Forty by Jane Porter and Blondes Have More Felons by Alesia Holliday.  If you need help with the title of your work in progress, I’d be happy to give it a shot.

THE REAL DEAL
I sold my novel CurvyKathy31: Confessions of a Chat-aholic to Wings press, which was released in February 2010.
My second book, For Richer or Repo is coming out in September, 2011 from Wings Press.
